BOOKING & RESERVATIONS

  • Booking is easily done online—you can check availability & reserve a vehicle using our Book Now tab. All pricing and availability is online and will populate once you enter in your rental dates; & If you need additional assistance, feel free to contact us.

  • You'll receive a confirmation email immediately at booking.

    Within 72 hours of your rental day & time, you'll need to submit a valid driver's license (front & back) for all drivers during your rental (text or email is fine). Once received, we'll confirm your reservation details w/any updates (pick-up/staging & drop-off details, beach gear, etc).

  • Yes, we will try to be as flexible as we can be, but please understand we are a small, family business and our Broncos/Jeeps book out months in advance (especially during holidays and on weekends). Note there are no prorated refunds for starting a reservation late or returning early. Refunds take 5-7 business days to process on many credit cards.

  • Clients can cancel 72 hours or more before your pickup day and time for a full refund of the rental fee and the security deposit.

    If you try to cancel within the 72 hours before your pickup day/time, we will not be able to refund.

    (certain exceptions apply (ie: death in immediate family, medical emergency, etc)

  • You'll immediately receive a confirmation email once you pay the $250 refundable security deposit. 48-72 hours before your rental day & start time, we'll send you final confirmation details and final rental charges will process on the saved payment method you used for the Security Deposit; we will confirm pickup/staging location and access details.

Payment & DEPOSIT

  • All payments are done through our website secured online checkout via Stripe. We accept credit cards and debit cards—no prepaid cards.

  • Yes, we require a $250 security/damage deposit which is refundable if you cancel more than 72 hours before pickup. Within 72 hours of your reservation, it is non refundable. We also require this security deposit to reserve (hold) the vehicle for your rental dates!

    Dean Ohana Rentals, LLC reserves the right to keep the security deposit if there is damage to the vehicle (glass damage, curb damage to rims, smoking in the vehicle, red-light camera tickets, etc.)

  • No. You can drive all around the island with no additional mileage charge.

  • We highly recommend clients look into supplemental policies through your personal insurance provider. Our vehicles are covered under our personal policy and tied to a umbrella policy, but every client is different and should look into insurance options which help you feel comfortable, please. If you damage the rental vehicle, Dean Ohana Rentals will expect you to file a claim with your insurance company for damage coverage and/or pay for the damages with your security deposit plus any other balances due from the damage during your rental.

PaRKING

  • We offer free parking at two locations in Waikiki (Hale Koa Parking Garage which is covered and gated); and the Fort Derussy outdoor parking lot (gated as well). Outside of those two locations, you'll be responsible for any and all parking fees.

    At time of pickup, detailed instructions will be given on the two parking locations in Waikiki.

    NOTE: WE WILL NOT REIMBURSE YOUR GROUP IF YOU DISREGARD OUR PARKING INSTRUCTIONS FOR OUR 2 WAIKIKI PARKING OPTIONS.

  • The renter is 100% responsible for any traffic or parking violations during your rental period.

    Please Note: There are red light cameras all throughout Waikiki for speeding, running red lights, etc…and they time stamp the vehicle along with the License Plate #

  • We subscribe monthly to 2 parking locations in Waikiki.

    1- The Hale Koa Parking Garage is a covered and gated parking garage directly across the street from the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the Hale Koa Resorts.

    2- Fort DeRussy is a outdoor, gated parking lot across the street kitty corner from the Outrigger Reef Resort & Starbucks

PICKUP & RETURN

  • We offer pickup (staging) and drop off at no additional charge at HNL Airport (Daniel K. Inouye International Airport).

    We also offer pickup and drop off at either of our two parking garages to which we subscribe monthly in Waikiki (Hale Koa Parking Garage and/or the Fort Derussy outdoor parking lot)

    1-way drop offs or pick ups (outside of the options listed above) can be scheduled for a extra $50 - $100 fee (depending on location). Contact us for details.

  • Yes. We run a full-to-full gas policy. We provide your rental with a full tank of gas and expect the car to be returned full as well.
    Please use 87 or above unleaded gas.

    If the vehicle is not filled, the cost of gas plus a $50 fee will be deducted from you security deposit.

  • Our services are available every day, Monday through Sunday. Rentals are available from 6AM to 10PM (HST). If you need to return a car later or pick up earlier, we can accommodate your plans—just contact us to make arrangements.

    Our website is available for bookings 24/7.

VEHICLE POLICES

  • We will deliver all rentals clean at the time of pickup. & we expect a little sand but here is how you can help along the way:

    • Shake out the floor mats to remove sand, dirt, grass and/or pet hair

    • Don't leave anything behind—double-check for trash and/or personal items; please clean out all food items!

    • If you go to the beach, place a towel on the seats to protect them from sand and water (saltwater leaves hard-to-remove stains)

    • ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING!

    If the vehicle is returned in a condition requiring extensive cleaning, a cleaning fee may be applied.

  • Pets are allowed, but the vehicle should be returned in the same clean condition it was picked up in. Cleaning fees will apply if needed if pet hair is present and requires additional cleaning.

    Please put a protective blanket or towel down if your pets prefer to lay on the seats

  • No! Smoking or drinking alcohol in the vehicle will result in a $250 fee and possible account suspension or termination.

  • Yes, but please clean up after yourself. Cleaning fees apply if the car is returned excessively dirty with food under the seats, etc.

  • Yes. Hawaii's universal seat belt law requires all front and back seat passengers to buckle up at all times.

    However, Hawaii does allow passengers to ride in the back of trucks/vehicles, etc.

  • Carseats or booster seats are available on our webisite; We can accomodate upon request, but for an additional one time fee of $30 per trip.

    Client is 100% responsible for attaching/installing the car seat. Dean Ohana Rentals, LLC is not responsible for attaching/installing the car seats due to liability.

FEES

    Dean Ohana Rentals, LLC requires pictures of the front and back of valid drivers licenses for anyone driving the vehicle.

  • (Ultimate fees depends on the actual damage to the vehicle)

    Our Broncos are insured on our policy and tied to a umbrella policy, but each client is encouraged to find your own supplemental Insurance policy for your rental dates, to the level of your comfort.

    Dean Ohana Rentals, LLC highly recommends a supplemental Insurance policy with your insurance provider. If vehicles are damaged during your rental, we expect client to submit the insurance claim on your personal insurance first, and Dean Ohana Rentals, LLC Insurance will be secondary

  • $50 + possible loss of security deposit fee

  • $250 fee & immediate loss of security deposit (+ possible account termination)

  • Roadside assistance is not included in the daily rate for the rental. Client is expected to take care of issues caused during rental period (ex: flat tires, dead batteries, etc).

    If client desires assistance from Dean Ohana Rentals, LLC, there will be a $100 fee + actual costs incurred

  • $250 security deposit fee will not be returned if a Client returns to the wrong location

DAMAGES & ISSUES

  • Please report any damage or cleanliness issues at the beginning of your reservation by emailing us, & please document with pictures/videos.
    This is important because you could be held responsible for any unreported damage if left until after your trip.

    (Each vehicle has normal wear and tear which we are aware of, and we document via pictures/videos after each rental)

    If you damage the vehicle (beyond normal wear & tear), Client must submit the claim via their insurance as primary. Dean Ohana Rentals, LLC insurance would be secondary.

  • Please contact us asap, and we will do our best to help find your item before the next rental dates.

    Please Make a visual sweep of the car before ending your reservation—Dean Ohana Rentals, LLC is not responsible for any lost items.
